The head of the Center is directing and organizing weekly religious education sessions, to develop spiritual awareness for men, women and children. The responsable committees seeks as well to promote social and cultural activities to strength out the feeling of brotherhood.
Since 1995 the Islamic Center sends it's representatives to several Universities and media centers.
The Ecuadorian liders of the three monotheistic religions met in Quito on January 2000 for the first time in Ecuadorian history.
The Islamic Center send it's representatives to varius international conferences about Human rights in Islam.
On April 2001 the president of Ecuadorian Parlament receives the representative of the Islamic Center who donate a copy of the Coran to library of the Ecuadorian Congress.
The last quarter of year 2001 islam has experienced a grught and interest, the Islamic Center has participated in various forums, tv channels and radio presentations.
There are five compulsory daily prayers (Salat), as well as the Congregational Friday Prayer (Jummah).
The tithing due (Zakat) and the two Eid Festivities (Eidain) are being held as anual obligations that members of the community are fulfilling as part of their duties and responsibilities.

The Pilgrimage, one of the five fundamental pilars of Islam was performed (as a family group) for the first time in Ecuadorian History, by the first native Ecuadorian family, during Hajj season 1419 Higri- March 1999CE.
The center sends a representative each year to perform the hajj.

The year 2001 (1421-1422H) Has been a year of growing and transition. The Center is enlarging it´s facilities to meet the needs of the new people who embrace Islam.
Among the future projects are:

Building facilities for full and part time Islamic school.

A monthly Islamic magazine.

Sending selected young muslims study Islam in the best Islamic universities abroad to become “Duat” (Preachers).
The Ecuadorian Ministry of Interior trough it’s ID Card Department, officially facilitated the wearing of the appropiate “HIJAB” for the muslim women for the whole ecuadorian territory
